Scintillating Holidays to Utah

Few states are more scenically varied than Utah, where landscapes range from the icy peaks of the north to the exotic red-rock formations and deep canyons of the south. Discover Utah Holidays online today.

Salt Lake City is the state capital and main gateway into Utah, situated to the north west.  At its heart, Salt Lake City is an impressive tribute to the Mormon dream of a promised land. View its stunning Mormon Temple, attend a concert by its huge Tabernacle Choir, or enjoy its museums, restaurants and growing micro-brewery scene.

Outside of the city explore Antelope Island, the largest island in the Great Salt Lake with a herd of free-roaming bison. In summer hike the alpine meadows of the Wasatch mountain range to the east of Salt Lake City, or in winter ski one of the many resorts such as picturesque Park City, which is less than an hour’s drive from the airport.

Head south to view the spectacular ®Might 5 national parks – Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion – with their awesome rock formations and other scenic wonders.  To the south you can also visit Monument Valley, an iconic representation of the wild-west.

Things to do in Utah

Whether it’s the jazz music, the Utah weather, the many fun adventures of the inspirational sightseeing, there’s something for everyone in Utah!

Bryce Canyon National Park

Over the years, wind, water and time have eroded Bryce Canyon National Park’s Sandstone cliffs into other worldly characters. Rows of humanoid pillars crosshatched by rock strata look intentional but also surreal, it’s been called silent, eerie but beautiful. Over a 37-mile circuit, it’s a spectacular sight, especially as the sun rises and sets. The formation is variously dense and of iron-rich layers of mud, slit and limestone which has been cut by water and frost.

Jurassic Park

Moab Giants Dinosaur Park is an authentic prehistoric adventure, there’s plenty to see and do including a 3D theatre, a great place to start your day of discovery, with presentations about the creations of universe to the age of dinosaurs. The Paleo Camp is an outdoor exhibit which pays homeage to Dr Gerald Gerlinkski and Dr Martin Lockley who set up the camp over 25 years ago where they’ve made lots of significant discoveries over the years. The park also includes a museum, dinosaur trial and 5D Paleo aquarium.

Cedar City

Cedar City is one mile above the sea and it’s a great place for all sorts of exercise. The winter sports are particularly popular and include hiking, biking, camping, glamping and climbing. It’s also very lively and hosts a range of festivals and events over the year with themes including Shakespeare, livestock, music, wild flowers, classic and films. There’s also a number of bike races, summer sports competitions and Christmas parades.

Monument Valley

Monument Valley is vast, wild and sunbaked with deep canyons and towering buttes variegating the desert plane. The sky is big and blue and the earth is red and rough, it’s beautiful view made simply from nature’s wind and water. Apart from a tiny town with lodge, camping and some restaurants, Monument is Valley is totally remote. Nearby you’ll find things to do including The Mittens, Three Sisters, John Ford’s Point, Totem Pole, Yei Bi Chai, Ear of the Wind, as well as Navajo guides that can lead you deeper into Mystery Valley, Hunts Mesa and more. Horseback is a popular way to explore this area and has been the way for hundreds of years.

Park City
