Itinerary

Day 1: Calgary

After arriving in Calgary, transfer independently to your downtown hotel for a three-night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore this world-class city.

Days 2 & 3: Calgary Stampede

Over the next two days we welcome you to the event most appropriately named “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”. Included is one afternoon ticket to a rodeo with gate admission, and one evening ticket to the Chuckwagon Races and Grandstand show with gate admission. Overnights in Calgary.

Rodeo
On the afternoon of day 2, the best of the best saddle-up for a three hour ground shaking showcase of world- class rodeo action. There are Saddle Bronco and Bareback riding events followed by the most dangerous event of all - Bull Riding.

Rangeland Derby
On the evening of day 3, nine heart-stopping chuckwagon races explode in an all-out dash for the finish line. Chuckwagon racing is an amazing contest of nerves and horsepower - a challenge that ignites thousands of fans.

Grandstand Show
Following the Rangeland Derby is the outdoor stage spectacular. For 2 hours, you will be dazzled by the lavishly produced and choreographed non-stop musical variety grandstand show. Overnights in Calgary.

Days 4 & 5: Moraine Lake Lodge

This morning, collect your rental car and leave Calgary behind as you make the scenic drive west into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Travelling through Banff National Park, you'll arrive at the iconic Moraine Lake Lodge, where you'll spend the next two nights surrounded by some of Canada's most breathtaking mountain scenery.

Nestled on the shores of the world-famous Moraine Lake in the spectacular Valley of the Ten Peaks, the lodge offers an exclusive opportunity to experience this remarkable setting long after the day visitors have departed. Wake early to watch the sunrise illuminate the vibrant turquoise waters, relax on the lakeshore with a coffee, or simply take in the tranquillity from the comfort of the lodge.

During your stay, you'll have ample opportunity to explore the surrounding area. Wander the easy Rockpile Trail for the classic postcard view of Moraine Lake, hire a canoe and paddle across the crystal-clear waters, or choose from a selection of hiking trails suitable for a range of abilities. The nearby Lake Louise is just a short drive away and offers equally spectacular scenery, lakeside walks and opportunities to visit the historic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Days 6 & 7: Cathedral Mountain Lodge

After breakfast, depart the shores of Moraine Lake and continue your journey west along one of Canada's most scenic mountain corridors to Cathedral Mountain Lodge, where you'll enjoy a two-night stay in the heart of Yoho National Park.

Nestled alongside the crystal-clear waters of the Kicking Horse River and surrounded by soaring mountain peaks, Cathedral Mountain Lodge offers a peaceful wilderness retreat and the perfect base from which to discover the natural wonders of Yoho National Park.

During your stay, take time to visit the breathtaking Emerald Lake, renowned for its vivid turquoise waters and one of the most photographed locations in the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy a leisurely walk around the lakeshore, hire a canoe or simply relax on the lakeside terrace while taking in the spectacular scenery.
