After a picnic lunch, you will load your packs into a canoe. Along the way, you learn how to paddle, portage and still have plenty of time to swim in the crystal clear water. You will set up camp at a scenic point and enjoy your first meal cooked over the fire. Overnight in a camp. Lunch and dinner included.
After a tasty breakfast, you will break camp and paddle east through a series of classic Algonquin Provincial Park lakes. A floating lunch will rejuvenate you to paddle into a marsh, where you will have a great opportunity to see beaver, great blue heron and moose (best wildlife viewing is in the late June/early July). The final stop is on a beautiful lake, where you have the afternoon to hike, swim, fish or take a siesta. You will enjoy fresh-baked bannock cooked over the fire and share stories of Canadian wilderness legends. Overnight in a camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Fresh coffee and frying bacon starts the last day of your Voyageur adventure. After packing your gear, an energetic hike through a mixed maple forest will demonstrate the unique mix of flora and fauna. You will learn to solo and navigate a canoe as you paddle to the final portage, stopping along the way for a smorgasbord lunch.
