Introduction
Far View Lodge is the only lodging inside of Mesa Verde National Park and is located 15 miles from the park entrance. The traditional Western decor of the lobby and dining room, fantastic views, warm hospitality and superb dining welcome you for an unforgettable vacation. The lodge comprises of 150 rooms in 2 room types, Kiva and Kiva Deluxe View.
The Far View Lodge offers panoramic vistas into three states from the guest room’s private balconies. The Lodge sits on a high shoulder of the Mesa Verde where deer wander about freely and it is quiet enough to hear the ravens fly by. It is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful setting. You can appreciate why people lived here for eight centuries. Far View Lodge is simple, no in-room TV’s, nothing fancy but wonderful dining, great shopping and instructional tours. Visitors can experience the world of those early Mesa Verde inhabitants with National Park Service trained guides. Your clients will enjoy viewing spectacular 700 year old cliff dwellings that were first discovered in the latter 1800’s. The Metate Room offers award winning contemporary southwestern and Native American favorite dishes. The Lodge hosts nightly ranger programs discussing a variety of park-related topics.
