Day 1: Arrive in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Arrive into Myrtle Beach in the early evening and transfer to your hotel for a three-night stay. With your arrival later in the day, we recommend keeping things relaxed and unstructured. After checking in, take a gentle stroll along the beachfront to enjoy your first views of the Atlantic Ocean and stretch your legs after the journey. The sound of the waves and warm coastal air provide the perfect introduction to South Carolina’s shoreline. Choose from one of the many beachfront restaurants for dinner, perhaps sampling fresh seafood, before enjoying an early night or a quiet drink overlooking the ocean.

Day 2: Myrtle Beach: Coastal Fun & Entertainment

Today is dedicated to enjoying Myrtle Beach’s vibrant mix of beaches, entertainment, and coastal scenery. Start the morning with time on the wide, sandy beach—perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing with a book. Later, explore the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, where shops, cafés, and ocean views create a lively atmosphere.

In the afternoon, consider visiting Broadway at the Beach, a popular hub for dining, shopping, and attractions such as Ripley’s Aquarium. Sail the scenic waters of Myrtle Beach aboard a spacious catamaran as you cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway, passing luxury waterfront homes and the historic Little River fishing village.

This morning, collect your rental car from Myrtle Beach Airport and begin your scenic drive south toward Charleston. The route follows the coastline and offers a wonderful introduction to South Carolina’s Lowcountry landscapes. A recommended stop is Georgetown, one of the state’s oldest towns, where you can stroll along the historic waterfront, browse small boutiques, or enjoy lunch overlooking the harbour.

Continue south through tidal marshes and quiet coastal roads before arriving in Charleston for a three-night stay. You may choose to visit Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the American Civil War were fired. Travel by roundtrip ferry across Charleston Harbor and enjoy a self-guided tour of the fort at your own pace. The journey itself provides wonderful views back toward the Charleston skyline, while informative exhibits and ranger presentations bring this pivotal moment in American history to life.

Alternatively, opt to visit Boone Hall Plantation, one of America’s oldest working plantations. Day 7: Charleston to Beaufort / Port Royal
