Itinerary

Day 1: UK - Calgary

After arriving in Calgary, transfer to your hotel for a three-night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure to further explore this world-class city.

Day 2-3: Calgary Stampede

Over the next two days we welcome you to the event most appropriately named “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”. Included is one afternoon ticket to a rodeo with gate admission, and one evening ticket to the Chuckwagon Races and Grandstand show with gate admission. Overnights in Calgary.

Rodeo
On the afternoon of day 2, the best of the best saddle-up for a three hour ground shaking showcase of world- class rodeo action. There are Saddle Bronco and Bareback riding events followed by the most dangerous event of all - Bull Riding.

Rangeland Derby
On the evening of day 3, nine heart-stopping chuckwagon races explode in an all-out dash for the finish line. Chuckwagon racing is an amazing contest of nerves and horsepower - a challenge that ignites thousands of fans.

Grandstand Show
Following the Rangeland Derby is the outdoor stage spectacular. For 2 hours, you will be dazzled by the lavishly produced and choreographed non-stop musical variety grandstand show. Overnights in Calgary.

Day 4: Calgary to Banff

Board your shared coach transfer as you transfer to your Downtown Banff hotel for a 2 night stay.

Banff is a breathtaking town located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by majestic mountains, pristine glacial lakes, and abundant wildlife. It offers a perfect escape into nature, providing a wide range of activities and experiences for visitors to enjoy. Stroll along Banff Avenue, where you'll find boutique shops, art galleries, and cozy cafés. Indulge in delicious local cuisine at one of the town's acclaimed restaurants and learn about the indigenous heritage of the region by attending cultural events or joining guided tours.

Day 5: Included Mountain Lakes & Waterfalls Tour

Visit the most treasured spots in the Canadian Rockies on this amazing excursion through Banff and Yoho National Parks. Experience the evolution of the land and discover how it has shaped the appearance of natural wonders found in these spectacular mountain settings.

Day 6: Included Columbia Icefield Discovery Tour

Experience the power of glaciers up-close on this exciting tour that highlights the most unique attraction in the Canadian Rockies; the Ice Explorer Glacier Tour. Travel on a massive Ice Explorer onto an ancient glacier and step out onto ice that is deep enough to bury the Eiffel Tower. Stand in the sky at the Glacier Skywalk, a curved glass walkway stretches 30 metres from the sheer face of a cliff and hangs mid-air. This tour is filled with exciting experiences, spectacular sights, intriguing stories and the best photo opportunities.

Day 7: Rocky Mountaineer: Banff to Kamloops

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at Banff Station at 7:30am MT. Enjoy the spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Arrival in Kamloops between 6:30pm and 8:00pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the city of Kamloops or relaxing in your hotel room. All hotels in Kamloops are of moderate standard: your hotel will be assigned post-booking.

Day 8: Rocky Mountaineer: Kamloops to Vancouver

Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Kamloops Station at 7:35am PT. On today’s journey west, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. You will arrive in Vancouver between 6:00pm and 7:30pm PT where you will transfer to your Downtown Vancouver hotel.

Day 9: Included Vancouver City & Capilano Suspension Bridge Tour

Vancouver’s fascinating past and present come together in this engaging tour that traverses through urban cityscapes, seaside parks, and ancient rainforests. Begin with the highlights of downtown, including Canada Place, home of the 2010 Olympic Cauldron. Wind through impressive modern and historic architecture, past the Arts and Financial Districts, and the fashion hub of Robson Street. Navigate through the 1,000-acre urban rainforest, Stanley Park, for a unique perspective of the city. Continue across the Lions Gate Bridge to North Vancouver’s coastal rainforest, and the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Don’t miss the impressive collection of First Nations artwork and the historic Story Centre. From the spectacular Cliffwalk, gaze out over towering cedars, and the Capilano River winding through the valley far below. Take an exhilarating walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park to the other side where many unique and informative experiences await, including Treetops Adventure. Return to downtown Vancouver and get ready to engage all your senses as you step out into Granville Island Market. This market is an artisan haven for all things local and hand-made, including delicious food, coffee, tea, eclectic artwork, and west coast music. Carry on through bustling Chinatown, a tribute to the Far East. Continue to historic Gastown, the heart of Vancouver, where it all began.

Day 10: Included Victoria Day Trip

Experience the exhilarating scenery and picturesque charms of historic Victoria. Boasting mountain views from the downtown Inner Harbour, this compact, pedestrian-friendly city features eclectic shopping, superb cuisine and wonderful attractions such as The Royal BC Museum. An insightful commentary provided by your knowledgeable driver reveals the history and highlights of this seaside capital city. Also included is admission to the breathtaking natural wonder of Butchart Gardens, featuring exotic floral displays from all over the world. Plan your own itinerary and independently explore the sights and sounds of the Inner Harbour waterfront, perhaps arranging to take a water taxi around the harbour to appreciate the cityscape from a unique perspective. Departing from Vancouver, your coach excursion includes a 95 minute ferry trip through the scenic passages of the Gulf Islands to Victoria on the southern tip of Vancouver Island.

Day 11: Vancouver - Fly UK

Spend your final day at leisure in Vancouver before transferring independently to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
